Charles is a composer, sound designer and music engineer. With his technical background in sound and unique style in music, Charles has created some hybrid soundtracks incorporating different visual media. Over the years, he has accumulated numerous works across a wide spectrum of activities, from TV broadcasting to cinematic productions.
His TV commercial works include Hong Kong Government TVAPI Watch out for Computer Crime which received a Gold Award at the Questar Awards – Corporate CD-ROMs and Videos category, and Hong Kong Government TVAPI Fight Youth Crime: Puppet which received a Silver Award at the 15th Annual Mercury Awards – Public Relations and Corporate Communications category. Among his participation in cinematic productions, he has worked as a sound designer for the documentary film Golden Gate Silver Light that was premiered at the 2013 Hong Kong International Film Festival, and as a music score mixer for the film New York November which was nominated at both the Camerimage and Max Ophüls festivals.
